I am Eghe-Otabor Divine

HOW DID THE NAME AIRGHE CLOTINS COME ABOUT?

Eghe, I just changed the “E” with an “AIR” because they sounded familiar

WHAT AGE DID YOU START?

I was seventeen I guess, I started selling clothes at seventeen. It was not branded though, it was just vintage shirts and face caps with a little of boxers

WHAT AGE DID YOU MAKE YOUR FIRST PRODUCE?

That was 2015? Yeah, 2015. Like may 2015 and it was just three pieces. All T-shirts: One for my myself, One for my co founder and One for a friend.

HOW DID YOU COME UP WITH IDEAS?

I don’t know, its not basic actually. I might be having a dull time and get an idea. Some friends share too and watch how it can work out.

WHAT IS FASHION TO YOU?

I feel it is everything, especially when it has to do with should I say my livelihood? To some people, fashion is not needed but I feel it is everything.   

                                       

                                       

            

HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR STYLE?

I will say it’s different. Simple and different. Some people said me writing my brand name on my clothes would be somehow and I said my brand is different. They said people will not want to wear my name on my clothes and I told them it’s different. So far, I feel people love the clothes that way.

 WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT FASHION IN THE NIGERIAN INDUSTRY?

I feel it’s still in infancy. Airghe clotinz got you covered though.

WERE YOUR PARENTS SUPPORTIVE?

Sometimes they are, sometimes they are not. It’s funny yeah? Just like if I am in school, they want me to face my studies and during the holidays, I can face my business.

WHO INSPIRED YOU?

Friends, family and my ex-girlfriend. That is why I made a shirt for her. Oh and my brother. I always talk about my brother. Eghe-Otabor Elisha. He is also the co-founder of Airghe Clotinz. With his ideas and support, its been a lot easier. 

WHAT ARE YOU PASSIONATE ABOUT? ; Life rule, Fashion rule and beauty rule

Life rule: Just do what your heart tells you to do as long as it is possible and have God in your heart or whatever you serve. Not everyone serve God.

 Fashion rule: Not too many colours, dress according to the occasion.

Beauty rule: I don’t know much about that though, just do your thing in the room or bathroom.

ARE YOU STILL IN SCHOOL? HOW DO YOU MIX SCHOOL AND BUSINESS?

Yup. I am a student of Wellspring University, Computer science and its not easy mixing school with the business though. I treat the business more than school. Business is like 60% and school is like 40%.

A million times

WHAT KEPT YOU GOING?

God, determination and my Love for what I do

WHAT DO YOU DO AT YOUR FREE TIME?

I watch movies , I hang out with friends that really worth the time, Eat munchies or junk food. 

HOW COME YOU DON’T LOOK FAT

Hahaha I don’t know, that’s just nature. I don’t know why I am not fat.

YOUR BEST COLOUR?

I am dark so I can go for anything bright. I can’t wear any colour though.

ARE YOU IN A RELATIONSHIP?

No I am not. Though it’s boring being alone.
