BET AWARDS ANNOUNCE CHANGES IN BEST INTERNATIONAL ACT CATEGORY

The 2018 BET Awards is scheduled to take place on Sunday, June 25, 2018 at the Microsoft Theater, Los Angeles, California, United States.
 
The organizers of the BET have rolled out the list of nominations for the respective categories and the one that sticks out is the category for Best International Act, which there is changes in the presentation mode of Best International Act Award.
 
Through their twitter account, it was announced that Best International Act award will be presented on the main stage for the first time ever at the 2018 edition of the awards.

Meanwhile, over the years, winners of Best International Act category of the award do receive their prizes off stage. Artistes like Davido, Wizkid, 2baba, D’banj, Stonebwoy, Sarkodie have won the award in past years with their prizes given to them behind the scene.

It is believed that pressures from International music community have necessitated this change of Best International Act Award venue of presentation.

The list  which sees Nigeria's superstars Davido and Tiwa Savage listed among the nominees that features a strong line up of artists across the world like; Nasty C, Stormzy, among others.
